Week 7 - MKTG 6101 - Guerrilla Marketing Chapter 7

Chapter 7 of Guerrilla Marketing focuses on the many ways of utilizing creativity for marketing rather than money. Many start-ups and small businesses find marketing challenging because they do not have a large budget. There are several ways for companies to spread word of their products and services at little to no monetary costs. One method is to work with an advertising agency. Ad agencies are able to help design, implement and track the success of advertisements. This is a great option for a company that is not sure where to start or wants to hand these duties off to someone else. Another option is to barter. Everyone wants something and people are willing to trade for the right return. You may want to reach out to your local television or radio station and see if they are willing to trade your products or services for air-time. If they aren’t interested in what you have to offer, do you know of someone who can provide what they want? Bartering is very common and is a very effective way for small businesses and start-ups to save money on advertising.
